Deep Water Culture (DWC) (Hydroponics System)

Deep Water Culture (shortened DWC) is a simple and effective method to cultivate cannabis hydroponically. DWC systems are proven to be very effective and easy to use. They are the perfect way to start with hydroponic systems.

How DWC works:

The best thing about DWC is, that it's so simple. The roots of cannabis love oxygen and can not get enough of it. If the oxygen content in the water is increased, more and more nutrients can be absorbed and the plants grow faster, bigger and healthier.

DWC in practice:

The plants are first grown in blocks of rockwool and then potted into net pots (perforated pots) filled with clay balls. These net pots are then placed in buckets in which the water mixed with nutrients circulates. The supply of oxygen is achieved via aquarium air pumps. The roots grow out of the pot and then hang in the nutrient solution, where they absorb the necessary nutrients due to the oxygen.
